Case Studies

Technical Knitwear Development and Scalable Production.

A selection of production-driven projects showcasing how Knit-Lab Peru supports brands from technical development to scalable manufacturing, combining certified sourcing, skilled artisanship, and production reliability.

At Knit-Lab Peru, we partner with fashion brands that require technical reliability, sourcing expertise, and scalable knitwear production.

Our role extends far beyond manufacturing: we operate as a long-term development and production partner, supporting brands from technical concept and material sourcing through to bulk production and international delivery.

Each case study demonstrates our ability to translate creative direction into production-ready knitwear with controlled costs, repeatable quality, and dependable lead times. We specialize in natural and certified yarn sourcing, complex knit structures, and both machine-knitted and hand-knitted production, managed under a structured development workflow and strict quality control protocols.

Our production model is built for growth and scalability.
Through detailed technical development, vendor-managed yarn sourcing, experienced artisan teams, and in-house quality supervision, we ensure collections move efficiently from sampling to bulk, with full visibility on specifications, costing drivers, and production timelines.

Sustainability is integrated at a technical and operational level:
from certified fiber sourcing and traceable supply chains to durable garment engineering and fair collaboration with skilled artisans in Peru. We believe responsible production is achieved through strong process control, material transparency, and long-term manufacturing partnerships.

Below are selected case studies that illustrate how Knit-Lab Peru supports international brands in developing and producing high-quality knitwear collections for the U.S. and European markets.

Scope of Collaboration

Challenge

Ebbets Field Flannels required a knitwear production partner capable of scaling production volumes while maintaining strict consistency in quality, knit structures, and vintage aesthetics. The project involved tight production timelines, increased order quantities, and the need for flexible logistics planning to support multiple seasonal deliveries without disrupting retail schedules.

Scope of work

  • Swatch development and material testing.

  • Sample development and approval coordination.

  • Knitwear production using machine-knit techniques.

  • Close coordination with appointed logistics and shipping provider.

Solution

Knit-Lab Peru worked closely with the client’s production and technical teams to ensure that knit constructions, yarn blends, gauges, and finishing details aligned with both aesthetic and performance requirements. The collection was produced primarily using natural yarn blends, including alpaca and blends, selected for durability, comfort, and long-term wear.

As production volumes increased for the 2023 season, we implemented a staggered production and delivery strategy. This approach allowed the client to meet critical retail deadlines while maintaining quality standards and avoiding bottlenecks in manufacturing or logistics.

Throughout the process, production was monitored through in-house quality control, ensuring consistency across all units despite higher quantities and compressed timelines.
